THE PROACTIVE PLAN


Pursuing a healthy lifestyle is a commitment.  In creating the ProActive Kids (PAK) program, we consulted kids, families, physicians, trainers, nutritionists and psychologists to develop a comprehensive, well rounded and holistic approach to making life-long changes for kids and families.  The approach treats the emotional, physical and nutritional health of kids and draws on the strength of the family to ensure the results positive and sustainable. 


The basic premise of the program is to make the journey to health fun and engaging.  During the 12-week program, kids and families participate in:

  • Interaction Lifestyle discussions with counselors to strengthen family communication and build self confidence; 
  • Experience challenging new athletic and fitness activities like, karate, boot camp training, Yoga, and track/field; and
  • Learn from nutritionists on how to make healthy eating choices in all aspects of their lives…from school lunches, grocery shopping, and snacking. 


And with each aspect of the PAK program, families take home critical learning and practical tips to support their commitment to health in their daily lives.
